Alzheimer's WA Hawthorn House

The home environment encourages people living with dementia, families, volunteers and staff to be a part of the household. This includes cooking lunch, planting vegetables, walking the dog, gathering eggs, participating in the children’s playgroup, fixing things in the shed or just enjoying a restful nap by the wood fire. Family carers can take a break from their caring role confident in the knowledge you will enjoy a great day with friends.

Providing a wide range of activities based on your strengths, identity and interests, the household provides meaningful engagement, stimulation and friendship in a specially designed enabling environment.

Family carers are invited to visit for regular support meetings or to attend special educational workshops.
